CyberPT is respectful to the privacy of its users. The information we gather on the CyberPT site may be divulged in order to deliver the products and services that we offer to employers and advertisers. By utilizing the Site you are consenting to our use and to our disclosure of the information that you provide and are consenting to receive emails as described below. CyberPT reserves the right to sell and pass on information which it obtains from users of the resume posting section if the resume is not marked unsearchable. All other information will not be sold or passed on to other parties unless otherwise specified. Questions that are answered by a physical therapist from the CyberPT Consult section can be posted on the message board with the inquirer’s identity remaining anonymous. CyberPT reserves the right to use information which was given voluntary in order to assist in improving features and services for the Site. Email addresses obtained voluntarily through the job posting, resume posting, course posting, newsletter, ask the physical therapist and questions and comments section will be used to send email for communication in accordance with the section. If you do not wish to receive these communications please send a reply email stating you would like to opt out from receiving emails. CyberPT may also disclose specific user information if required by law or to protect the safety of CyberPT or other users of the Site. In addition, in the event of transfer of ownership or assets of CyberPT, personal information we have collected may be transferred to a third party.

The following summarizes CyberPT's treatment of your personally identifying information:

· CyberPT actively collects specific information (e.g., name, address & e-mail address) through its user registration process.  We passively collect other information (e.g., IP addresses, browsers, pages viewed and number of visitors). We also may ask for personally identifying information at other times, such as if you post or communicate with us or complete a survey.  We only use "cookies" to gather information on the boards featured on this site (CyberPT Message Board, CyberPT Job Board and CyberPT Continuing Education Board);

· In general, except for resumes and postings to any of our message boards as further described below, CyberPT does not disclose personally identifying information to third parties. As such, we will not provide personally identifying information to third parties without your permission. If you prefer not to have your information disclosed in this manner, you should contact CyberPT at the e-mail address provided above;

· You may consent to the collection and use of your personally identifying information without consenting to the disclosure of such information to third parties;

Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information on-line (for example, on message boards, through e-mail, and in chat rooms), that information may be collected and used by others.

No data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.  As a result, while CyberPT tries to protect your personal information, it cannot ensure or guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.

Cyber PT respects the privacy of its users' information. As such, CyberPT complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (available at http://www.ftc.gov/ogc/coppa1.htm) and all other applicable laws. If a child provides us with personally identifying information without parental or guardian consent, the parent or the guardian should contact us at the e-mail address provided below to remove the information and to opt-out of any promotional opportunities.
