A benefit for the Miami-Marquette Challenge, raising money for the Foundation for Physical Therapy

This eight-hour course prepares the health care professional with valuable information for meeting the fastest growing patient population in health care today. 

PURPOSE
To introduce “Bariatrics” as a unique patient population requiring unique intervention.  Present transfer & mobility challenges for those who are obese and functionally impaired while demonstrating a systematic method of progression and introduction of the “Lift Free Zone”. 

CREDITS
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate for 8 contact hours.  Program is approved for 8 Contact Hours through the WPTA. (Approval number 13318)

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Mr. Dionne was honored to be an invited speaker for the 1998, 1999, 2000, 2005 APTA, the 2005 National Association for Bariatric Nurses Conferences and National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2006.   Mr. Michael Dionne is a licensed physical therapist who has written or contributed to 40 articles and is author of the book Among Giants.
