Effective Examination and Treatment Techniques for the Foot and Ankle Description The foot and ankle are two of the most overlooked and under-treated anatomical structures in the body. A detailed understanding of the biomechanics of the foot and ankle is of the utmost importance to effectively treat pathological conditions of the foot and ankle. What you will learn Speaker Biography JIM L. KELLER, Ph.D., PT, CMT, CDE, CWCE, CRA, is a licensed Physical Therapist with 41 years of experience in orthopedic, sports, manual therapy and industrial rehabilitation. He has been a certified Manual Therapist for 26 years, a certified Work Capacity Evaluator for 11 years, a certified Disability Examiner for 10 years and a Contact Reflex Analysis Practitioner for nine years. Dr. Keller received both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physical Education from Arkansas State University in 1964 and then graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1967. He spent the next 22 years in the United States Air Force, where he received training in developing, directing and implementing patient care. Upon his retirement from the Air Force, he received a Fellowship in Sports Medicine from the American Sports Medicine Institute. He then went on to earn his doctorate degree in health and nutrition from LaSalle University in 1999.
