Effective Examination and Treatment Techniques for the Foot and Ankle

Description

The foot and ankle are two of the most overlooked and under-treated anatomical structures in the body. The feet log about a thousand miles a year and are shock absorbers. Feet cushion up to one million pounds of pressure during one hour of strenuous exercises! To return the patient's complete rehabilitation potential requires designed intervention to complete their recovery. A detailed understanding of the biomechanics of the foot and ankle is of the utmost importance to effectively treat pathological conditions of the foot and ankle.

In this one-day seminar, participants will be introduced to the concepts of ankle/foot mechanics and muscle control, gait analysis, and detailed examination procedures to help make accurate functional diagnosis. Specific exercises designed for the foot and ankle dysfunctions will be demonstrated and provided in written form. Peer-reviewed literature references will help develop an evidenced-based practice for the ankle/foot. Also, participants will explore new areas for expanding your practice and care for your patient with ankle/foot dysfunctions. Attendees of this program will gain practical skills to achieve greater success with their patients.
