At minimum, you will need a PTA. I am sure that consideration would be given to any sports related experience you may have. If you have a good knowledge of sports related injuries, and the therapy of such, this would give you a considerable edge when looking for employment.

You need to work with a local team to get your name out there. From there onwards you can look to succeed.
All the best. |

I believe if you work hard and care about what you do, you will succeed.

There are quite a few of therapeutic exercise con ed courses and sports specific con ed courses available which would strengthen your experience in the sports rehab realm. A PTA degree with a strong background in sports and knowledge of sport specific tasks will be a good foundation for working with athletes who require therapy.

I am a student PTA and I was intersted in getting into the sports rehab field when I graduate. Is there any additional training I would need to get involoved in that, or would most of it be on-the-job. My PTA degree alone will be adequate to get a job somewhere in the sports field?
