Their regular work is to provide exercise, instruction, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction and observing the radiology images. They also serve massaging and train the patients on gait and balancing.  Physical therapy assistants also record the patient's responses to treatment. I am not quite sure how to answer this please help."</P><DIV><strong>Ask a PT response:</strong> "PTA's assist PT's in providing a variety of services including inpatient rehab, oupatient rehab, pediatrics, nursing homes, etc...<BR>In regards to how it is helpful to patients/community it is pretty obvious depending on the service provided."</DIV>]]>
