Stick to the basics and get the pt moving safely. </DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>You can still develop a protocol for exercises, but just not with this surgeon. Also, ask everyother surgeon if your protocol (once developed) is ok with him/her. </DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>]]>

I work home health and am trying to develop our own protocol specifically from post op discharge to 8 weeks.&nbsp; Obviously this group of patients may be able to go to OP when released to drive, many can't.&nbsp; This MD also refuses to allow lumbar stab of any kind until after 3 months (at which time he d/c's the brace and then starts aggressive lumb. stab.) Any advice is appreciated...most info. is vague.<DIV></DIV>]]>
