Ultrasound is type of sound with frequency of greater than 20.000 cycles per second Hz, Human cant her that sound because the human frequency hearing of sounds is from 16 to 20.000 Hz.
Ultrasound has variety of physical effects that can be classified as Thermal and Non-thermal and the treatment session is from 5-10 minutes only

What you feel if your physical therapist apply Ultrasound ?

Normally patient will feel nothing, sometimes patient may feel slightly hot in the place that your physical therapist apply Ultrasound and it can make you feel pain if the physical therapist not moved the head on your skin for long period, if you feel that pain directly tell your physical therapist.
