Ask a PT Response: "I probably wouldn't perform ultrasound immediately after aquatic therapy as the patient's skin may be more susceptible to irritation. As far as weightbearing status, it will depend on how deep of water the patient is in and what the status is in. The deeper the water the more a patient can put weight through his/her lower extremity.
