Our user asked: "I have had Plantar F for over 4 months that is keeping me from running. I have had one injection and have been taking NSAID, Icing and stretching, ultrasound. Is it OK to continue to run if I can push through the heel pain?"

Ask a PT Response: "Plantar fasciitis can take a long time to recover from. I often tell my patients the worst thing to do would be to work through the pain with activities such as running. Continuing to irritate and inflame the area will most likely inhibit the healing process. Sounds like you are receiving the appropriate treatment. It will just take some more time."
