Our user asked: "It has been 31/2 month since my lower fibula fracture and would like to know what kind of excercises would help recover sooner"

Ask a PT Response: "That is a pretty broad question, and without knowing more information and physically examining you, I really wouldn't be able to tell you. Usually with this kind of injury, when patients are cleared by their physician to participate in PT, gentle ankle and foot range of motion and strengthening  exercises are performed in open chain and than progressed to closed chain exercises as tolerated. If you are still having problems, it may be a good idea to see a PT so that he or she can develop a plan of care and exercise program tailored to your specific needs."
