Our user asked: "Hi there...I have a knot in my Trapezius muscle....can't get to it with ice, or pressure......any suggestions or stretches that I can do to work this thing out? Thanks so much for your time."

Ask a PT Response: "Trying to release a knot at the upper trap can be difficult to perform on your own. Upper trapezius stretches along with other stretches may help but you may require some further intervention. If you are able to see a physical therapist, he or she will also be able to perform some manual techniques, postural training and utilize some modalities such as e-stim or ultrasound which may be able to help alleviate your condition."
