Our user asked: "received cortisone shot yesterday -- still no improvement--need recommendations for hot/cold packs exercise etc. thanx so much"

Ask a PT Response: "After a cortisone injection for a cervical bulging disc, it could take a few days to notice any improvement. Often times, patients will often participate in physical therapy after the inejction to assist with achieving lasting gains. The therapist can work on helping the patient improve with range of motion, strength, posture, function and pain management. Certain techniques and exercises can also be performed and prescribed to help reduce the disc bulge and promote healing."
