Our user asked: "I have a partially torn acl, more than 50% torn. I was just wondering if there is any way i can rehab the knee without having reconstructive surgery or is the acl always going to be weak.I play alot football so i was wondering if i would able to do that again without surgery. thank you"

Ask a PT Rsponse: "Yes, it is possible to rehab a knee that has a ACL which is 50% torn and return to everyday activities. However, given the nature of the activities which you participate in, ie football, your chances of sustaining further damage to your knee is more than likely in the future given the current integrity of your ACL.
