Our user asked: "I swung baseball bat really hard and felt pain on the inside of my right thigh. I now have significant bruising begining 3 inches above the knee toward the groin area. I also am limited as to what I can do. Do I have a Quad Strain or Groin Pull and how can I treat it."

Ask a PT Response: "I really can't tell you if you have a quad or groin strain without physically examining you. With any strain, the general recommendation for my patients is maintaining range of motion, gentle strengthening, soft tissue mobilization/massage and gentle stretching. The patient is than progressed to higher level activities as tolerated. Good luck."
