Our user asked: "Question: I suffered a "jones fracture" in my right foot one week ago today. I'm in a walking boot for 4-8 weeks, no surgery required. Pain is minimal. I am curious if swimming would be considered on OK exercise? I've read on other sites that this is considered an acceptable exercise, as long as your're not putting weight on the foot. thanks"

Ask a PT Response: "Swimming is an appropriate exercise. However, definitely check with your Dr, prior to initiating swimming in case he or she has any concerns."
