Our user asked: "I had an MRI done-I have a sprained ACL fro playing volleyball. It has been 3 weeks, when and what type of PT can I do to get back in shape? thanks"

Ask a PT Response: "Patients with a strained ACl will require exercises which will rehab the knee which will include strengthening, stabilization training, somatosensory/proprioceptive training and functional training (ie. squatting, jumping/landing, running, etc). If there are range of motion or flexibility deficits, they have to be addressed as well. If you are able to, it probably would be a good idea to work with a PT to in order to maximize recovery and to prevent a recurrence of injury. Best of luck to you."
