Our user asked: "Hi there...I've been suffering with medial epicondilitis for quite a while. I've done the usual PT treatments, steroid injections and blood patches without long term results. I have recently heard of another treatment where a PT "scrapes" your arm in an attempt to get the ligaments/tendons back in place. Do you know the name of this treatment so I can request it by my physician? Thanks... "
Ask a PT Response: "I believe you are talking about ASTYM treatment. I am not very familiar with this treatment nor are my colleagues. However, here are what some PT's are saying about it http://physicaltherapy.rehabedge.com/tm.aspx?m=56638&mpage=2 . Best of luck to you." |
