Our user asked: "Hello, I have been experiencing pain in my left leg starting at my hip whenever I drove for more than an hour. I have been excercising this leg now for a few weeks but nothing seems to help that much. I stretch out my leg, use icy-hot, and Tylenol but I still cannot take much more than an hour of driving. Would you reccomend some types of exercise or treatment for this problem?"
Ask a PT Response: "Could be a number of things going on from what you describe. Pain that travels down your leg from your hip or back with prolonged sitting could be associated with some kind of injury to the back as well. Since you have had this problem for a few weeks now, it might be a good idea to consult with a PT so that he or she can determine what may be causing your pain and develop a plan of care specific to the findings."
