I was pulling wall paper last weekend and developed some pain in between my shoulder blades in my upper back. The right side hurts more than my left. It is also painful to reach up, do overhead activites and pinch my shoulder blades together. It is feeling a little better now. Did I just pull something? Is there anything I can do to get better faster? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks. Karen

Karen,
It sounds like you might have pulled/strained your rhomboid muscles. These muscles help stabilize your shoulder blades when you bring your arm up and they also help with activities which require pulling ie. pulling wall paper from wall. If you are use to taking alieve or ibuprofen then do so. It will help with the pain. Otherwise, give it some time and should feel better. To stretch these muscles round your shoulders forward or bring you arm across your body. Hold for about 30secs and do 3-4 times for each side.
