Our user asked: "Hello, I have Achilles tendonitis in both heels. Would a home ultrasound device work for treatment of this injury, when combined with a stretching and strengthening routine?"
 
Ask a PT Response: "Ultrasound is a modality which is utilized by physical therapists for the treatment of achilles tendonitis. In some cases phonophoresis (ultrasound with hydrocortisone cream) is performed as well to further assist with decreasing inflammation. Best of luck to you."
