Obviously an occupation which is more physical may require a longer duration of time off. Return to work is also at the discretion of your surgeon and therapist. Rehab following a partial discectomy usually involves strengthening, core stabilization, range of motion, stretching, postural training, functional training, manual therapy and modalities. Your physical therapist will be able to better determine what your needs are and develop a plan of care specific to your needs."
