He last saw the plastic surgeon on June 24th, who said his hand healed well, although he should not play baseball for 2-3 more weeks. He'll start playing again around July 12th. The Dr. told him he doesn't have to wear his splint anymore. Is there some sort of playing cast he can wear for the initial couple weeks back to playing baseball?"

Ask a PT Response: "I've asked around and it looks like a batter's hand pad can be utilized to help protect the hand. http://www.dealhaven.com/storefrontprofiles/DeluxeSFItemDetail.aspx?c=704626&i=206080426&sfid=54574
I hope this helps. Thanks for using CyberPT."
