This morning the pain has increased and I have not been able to move all day. Is there anything I can do to help me get better. The pain is achy and goes across my low back. It hurts more to bend forward and backward.
Thanks
Jason

CMT

USA
7 Posts

Posted - 04/03/2006 : 08:35:54 Show Profile Reply with Quote
It sounds like you may have strained your back. I would recommend rest and taking an anti-inflammatory (if you are able to do so). Also some gentle stretches such as lying on back and bringing your knee to your chest and lying on back with knees bent and leting them drop to the side to stretch back. If you try these stretches and they hurt you more than DON'T do them. A hot pack to your back and some gentle massage may help as well. If your back doesn't improve or if you start getting pain that shoots down your legs then consult with your MD imediately.
