Author: Ask a PT
Subject: 1515
Posted: Sep 10 2014 at 2:52pm

Our user asked: "Hello, I am a female with a large chest(bra size 32GG). Halter tops and criss-cross tops and bras hurt because the weight of my breasts pulls the fabric and tugs at the back of my neck. I wonder if this is something I can help alleviate by strengthening some neck muscles? Interestingly, my neck is sore after a day of wearing a pendant necklace, too."

Ask a PT Response: "PT would definitely be an option. The PT would not only look at your neck but both your upper and lower back as well. The entire body is connected and issues below or above the affected area could be contribuating factors as well. Besides strength - ROM, flexibility, joint mobility, posture, etc should also be asscessed. Best of luck to you."
